AirPane privacy

AirPane runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics, no ads and no crash reporter. Its only network connection is the update check: if you allow it (AirPane asks once, on its second launch), it reads one small file on this site about once a day to see whether a newer version exists, and downloads an update from GitHub only when you choose to install it. Nothing about you, your AirPods or your Mac is sent. Turn it off any time in Settings › Advanced.

What it reads, and why

What it stores

Deleting AirPane and those two folders removes everything.

Volume boost

Listening above 100% can damage your hearing. AirPane warns when boost is on and reminds you after 20 minutes of boosted listening. Boost is used at your own risk: AirPane and its author aren't responsible for hearing damage or harm to your headphones.
