These terms cover the AirPane app and this website. They're written to be read, not skimmed past. By downloading or buying AirPane you agree to them.

Who makes AirPane

AirPane is made by [your full name], an independent developer. Purchases are processed by [store], which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Their buyer terms cover the payment itself, and they appear at checkout.

AirPane is made by an independent developer in Brazil. Version 0.9 is a free beta: nothing is sold yet, and these terms cover using it.

Your licence

• Buying AirPane gives you a personal licence to use it on the Macs you own or use yourself.
• The licence key is for you. Please don't share or publish it. Keys that appear online get switched off.
• Beta versions (0.9) are free during the beta, then pause for everyone on the same day. Paid versions work for 7 days without a key, so you can try everything first.
• Updates to AirPane 1.x are included. A future major version might be a paid upgrade, and your version keeps working either way.

What you can't do

• Resell, rent or redistribute AirPane or its download.
• Remove or get around the licence check, or remove the credits and notices in the app.
• Reverse engineer AirPane, except where the law in your country allows it.

Not notarized yet

AirPane isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm before it opens the first time. Here's how. Early buyers get the notarized version free when it ships.

How AirPane works with macOS

AirPane reads the signal your AirPods send when the case opens and uses features of macOS that Apple doesn't document for other apps. A macOS or AirPods update can change or break some of them. We'll work to fix things when that happens, but we can't promise every feature will keep working on every future version. If one breaks and can't be fixed, see the refund policy.

Volume boost

Listening above 100% can damage your hearing and your headphones. Boost is off until you raise the volume past 100%, AirPane reminds you after 20 minutes, and you use it at your own risk.

No warranty

AirPane is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for AirPane. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Privacy

AirPane makes no network connections except an update check you can switch off. The privacy page says what it stores and why.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and the version you agreed to keeps covering the copy you bought. These terms are governed by the laws of [country]. Questions: [support email].
